Why We Started

J&H Apparel was built in the middle of real life.

I’m a full-time mom and a work-from-home accountant — and J&H is my third job, my creative outlet, and my passion project. The name J&H comes from my two greatest inspirations: my kids, James and Harper. Everything I do is for them. This store is part of building a better life for our family — without ever taking away from the life we’re living right now.

Motherhood has a way of shifting everything — your priorities, your pace, even your sense of identity. Somewhere between school drop-offs, meetings, laundry, dinner, and the never-ending to-do list, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself.

And when you look at the fashion industry, the message can feel clear: once you enter this stage of life, your “uniform” becomes athleisure. Comfortable? Yes. But often frumpy. Forgettable. Safe.
